"My reindeer, I know them all" is a short film about Karen Anna Logje Gaup. All her life she has worked with reindeer, and followed the reindeer's migration between winter and summer pastures. In the film, she shares thoughts and reflections on her experiences as a reindeer herder. Karen Anna has never worn anything else than gákti, the Sámi traditional clothing. She is truly passionate about her culture and the survival of Sámi reindeer culture. She wakes up every morning with gratitude and is full of excitement for her daily work with reindeer. When her husband died many years ago, Karen Anna did not quit, instead she continued in reindeer husbandry with help from her children. Traditionally, in Sámi reindeer herding women have a central role. Karen Anna speaks a lot about why women are important in reindeer husbandry, especially in teaching and passing on the traditional knowledge to the future generation. She says that a woman is just as necessary in the work with reindeer as the man. She is concerned about women's role and the future of Sámi reindeer husbandry, Sámi people and the Sámi land.
