About the filmmaker

Hans Pieski has had a growing interest in shooting and editing videos for the last few years. As his equipment got gradually better and he got more skilled, he felt that it was natural to take on more serious projects.

When he decided to make Sáhtášii leat vearrátge the timing was good. He felt he could morph a nature art film he had been planning and shooting for, to a corona themed film.

The film follows Pieskis normal family life during the lockdown.

Hans Pieskis five favorite films:

  • Lost in translation by Sofia Coppola
  • Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky
  • Shawshank redemption by Frank Darabont
  • Lost highway by David Lynch
  • Fight club by David Fincher
